Plug'n'Play
Loventis is a web application and thus available anytime. You only need your personal login data and a computer connected to the Internet. Basic computer knowledge is sufficient since you do not have any efforts with installation or maintenance. You can use any operating system and are additionally completely mobile.
This concept is known as SaaS (software as a service). More information is on Wikipedia.
Freeware
Since I develop Loventis in my free time and it overal is a slim tool, I offer it for free. I am happy about each new user and hope to enhance the reputation of my program in this way.
Loventis is indeed free - Feedback, Links to my site and donations to cover my costs (especially server hosting) are welcome.
Cooperation
In the respect of my current (free-)time situation, I do my best to implement the wishes of my users. The best ideas ultimately come from the people who use my tool in their daily business. Thank you for your feedback!
Security
To protect your occupancy data against unauthorized access, it is very important that you use secure passwords. A secure password should consist of uppercase and lowercase letters as well as numbers and special characters. Such a password is easy to remember, if one imagines a sentence and use the first letters/syllables from it.
Example: My nose is 5 Inches long!

For all other aspects of IT security, I use state-of-the-art technologies:
- Access to the Loventis Hotel Software is only possible via an encrypted ( SSL ) connection.
- The Loventis server is protected with a firewall. In addition, the Administration is strongly encrypted using SSH in combination with asymmetric Cryptography.
- There are daily automated backups for all booking data.
Future
Loventis is currently my hobby. This is not to stay that way! In the near future I would like to earn money with my hotel software. Therefore I consider the following:
- If you sign up now you can use Loventis with its current functions always free!
- I can imagine to charge money for additional features. For example for online booking functions, either on your own homepage or through connections to booking portals.
- Alternatively, it is possible to calculate a lump sum in the future. For hotels currently using Loventis, this fee would be voluntary.
- I think that on the Internet one earns money by having MANY users, each paying a BIT. Thus, Loventis will always be cheap!
